Motorcycle is often considered to be a man’s best friend. In fact, most men are passionate about this engine powered two-wheeled vehicle. The High Speed, superb quality and stupendous thrill, this mode of transport offers, is not seen in any other transport medium.
Purchasing a motorcycle may seem to be extremely easy for a person, but once this two wheeled vehicle is purchase, most riders are curious to know about its parts, where they can be bought from and what purpose each part serves. The reason is simple. The knowledge about motorcycle parts would offer them an opportunity to help themselves, when the vehicle breaks down and also offer them confidence in terms of replacing the motorcycle parts, in case of an emergency.

a) Fuel Tank: A fuel tank is a significant portion of the chassis. These are usually mounted on the engine. Fuel tanks are generally created with polyethylene of high quality. A hollow frame is built for fuel tanks by the manufacturers, inside the chassis. There are some external frames that are utilized towards the oil reservoir.
b) Chassis: The chassis is a significant part of the motorcycle, popularly known as the frame. Chassis or the frame is made up of aluminum. You may also find chassis, in steel, alloy and customized carbon-fiber.
c) Brakes: Without brakes, motorcycles are nothing but useless engine powered machines. Usually, a motorcycle will have independent breaks in the front as well as the back of the wheels. Brakes at front are more powerful. The wheels at rear part of motorcycle are more responsible to make it vulnerable to skid forwards. The reason is the transfer of weight. To prevent this almost all the motorcycles are now built with antilock breaking systems.
d) Suspension: The major role of the suspension is to work as the shock absorber of the motorcycle. The function controlling the steering of the machine is successfully undertaken by the front suspension. The back of suspension is extremely helpful in serving as a support to the swing arm.
e) Transmission: Clutch lever of the motorcycle controls transmission.
f) Tires: The most significant part of a motorcycle, a tire comes to the contact of the road fully.
g) Engine: Most of the motorcycles, available to the consumers, across the globe are gasoline-powered.
