I need your HELP-on how to fix striped female threads on a carburetor?
The threads in the carburetor where the fuel line connects into the carburetor are cross threaded. is there a way to repair this?
yes you will need to obtain a drill bit approx the same size as thethreads on the fuel line, drill it out and tap new threads then get a helicoil thread repair kit to bring it back to its standard size. or you may get away with just retapping the threads with a tap the same size as what you need to thread into hole. hope this will help you.
