1970 International Harvester 1026 Hydro Value?

I am told this is a rare tractor, #36 of 58 of these built, it needs work as it runs but will not move, the mechanic says its a torque converter plate type thing under the seat and its a 1000 dollar repair. We are not really in need of such a big tractor and want a smaller one but need a value on this one as there are a ton of collectors emailing us about it and want a price. It runs good and has a fresh rebuild and a new pump on it, the problem is easily fixed apparently but shop time would run us 1k bucks

Is it worth fixing then selling or just sell it as is?

PS the vin is verified by collectors, it is the model produced by IH and not farmall
